NSW: New Commissioner not foregone conclusion
The New South Wales government has denied the appointment of acting commissioner KENMORONEY as the new police commissioner is a foregone conclusion.
The Premier opened the new St George Police Station at Kogarah, in Sydney's south today,alongside acting commissioner KEN MORONEY and Police Minister MICHAEL COSTA.
Mr MORONEY is standing in for PETER RYAN, who resigned as the state's top cop thisweek, citing interference from Mr COSTA and sparking controversy in the state Parliament.
