VIC:Toddlers suffer facial burns

Two young children have suffered superficial facial burns after being hit by a liquid
.. allegedly thrown by a nine-year-old boy in Melbourne.

The two-year-old girl and five-month-old boy were being pushed in their pram on a footpath
in South Yarra .. when they were struck by the liquid .. believed to be a degreasing agent
.. which was thrown from a car park roof.

The injured pair has been taken to Royal Children's Hospital in a stable condition
.. and detectives are investigating whether they were deliberately targeted .. or if it
was an accident.

A nine-year-old boy has been taken into custody after a police doorknock of the South Yarra area.
