NSW:Mum and newborn bub found safe and well

SYDNEY, Aug 2 AAP - A mother and her newborn baby missing from a hospital in the NSW
Hunter Valley have been found safe and well.

The 25-year-old woman and her newborn baby boy were discovered travelling through Raymond
Terrace from Dungog about 4.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday, police said.

Police recognised the car, which also contained a 14-year-old girl and two Singleton
women aged 43 and 40, and stopped it.

All of the women are now helping police with their inquiries.

Police had earlier held concerns for the woman and the baby, who had last been seen
on Monday evening at Maitland Hospital.
